The Japanese manufacturer is preparing to launch a new electric scooter for the Indian market.

Suzuki’s upcoming electric scooter has recently been spotted during testing. According to reports, this electric scooter will be an electric version of the Burgman 125. The Burgman Street 125 scooter is one of Suzuki’s best sellers and its electric version can also see a lot of similarities.

Will be launched in dual-tone color
According to RushLane, the electric scooter can be launched in a dual-tone color scheme. In the spy image, it has been spotted in blue and white color. On the other hand, it is expected to get a gray sleeve around the footboard, twin shock absorbers at the rear and a lithium-ion battery pack.

These features will be available
The exterior of the spotted e-scooter looks similar to the Burgman Street. Talking about the features of the electric scooter, it is expected to get an updated digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, USB charger, full-LED headlight and bigger seat storage.

Range will be 80 to 90 km
The company is yet to reveal the powertrain and other technical details of the two-wheeler, but the electric iteration of the Burgman could be powered by a 3-4kWh battery pack and a 4-6kWh electric motor. It can give a range of around 80 to 90 kms on a single charge. Suzuki has not yet confirmed the launch date, but an official launch in India may take place after 2022. After launch, this vehicle will compete with Bajaj Chetak EV, TVS iQube and Ather 450X.
