Tata Safari launched in a new form, know what changed, how much the price increased


New Delhi. Tata Motors has launched its most popular Safari SUV in a new color scheme. The Safari Adventure Persona SUV, which was launched in February last year, will now come with a new color scheme called Orcus White.

The Tata Safari Adventure Persona price based on the top-spec XZ+ trim starts at Rs 20.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Safari SUV looks quite different from its previous model with its special exterior color theme and blacked-out alloy wheels.

The Tata Safari Adventure Persona SUV was till now being offered in the tropical mist colour. The only other color scheme available on the trim is Orcus White. The Safari Adventure Orcus White model also gets ventilation on the front and second row seats apart from wireless charger, air purifier and other features.

Tata Motors is yet to reveal the price of the new Safari Adventure. Prices for the Adventure Edition of the Safari SUV start at Rs 24.2 lakh (ex-showroom) for the XZ+ Adventure New trim and go up to Rs 25.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec trim XZA Plus 6S variant.

The Orcus White variant will also get other adventurous exterior features like blacked-out alloy wheels, black front main grille, roof rail inserts, exterior door handles, headlamp inserts, bumpers and a safari mascot placement on the bonnet.

Apart from the exclusive exterior colours, the Tata Safari Adventure Persona Edition SUV also gets signature earthy brown interiors, dark chrome interior accents on the air vents, knobs, switches, inner door handles and instrument cluster along with piano black interior pack on the steering wheel, grab . The handlebar, floor console frame and IP mid pad finisher are also available.

Talking about its engine, the same 2.0-litre diesel engine is available in it. Which has been tuned to deliver a maximum power of 170 PS and peak torque of 350 PS. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual and an optional 6-speed automatic transmission unit.
