new Delhi. Tesla has recalled 947 electric cars from customers in the US. The world’s largest electric vehicle maker has initiated a recall of three electric car models due to a delay in rearview image display. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the rearview image was getting delayed when the cars were in reverse.
NHTSA said, “Delays in rearview camera display can affect the rearview of the driver and increase the risk of an accident. However, despite this problem, the driver can reverse the vehicle using his mirror.

These cars are included in the recall
Tesla’s recall includes Model 3 EVs manufactured between 2017 and 2020, Model S cars manufactured between 2018 and 2019, and Model Xs sold between the same period. These electric cars are equipped with Autopilot Computer 2.5 and are handling some firmware releases. Tesla said it would do an over-the-air software update to resolve the issue.
Tesla has made many recalls
In recent months, Tesla has made several announcements about software problems. Tesla has already issued six recalls this year for a variety of reasons. In December last year, Tesla began deploying firmware for a limited number of vehicles and its fleet monitoring tools. According to the recall notice dated March 18, an “abnormal frequency of computer resets among Model 3 vehicles” was discovered later with that update.
