Hero Electric is the largest selling electric two-wheeler company in the country. Its market share is more than 30 percent. Hero Electric sold more than 46,260 units in 2021. Hero Electric currently sells 9 electric scooters in India. These include Photon Hx, Optima Hx (dual battery), Optima Hx (single battery), NYX HX (dual battery), Optima LX, Optima LX, Flash LX and Atria LX. The price of these electric scooters ranges from Rs 46,640 to Rs 74,240.
Okinawa is at number two in the list of selling the most electric two-wheelers. Its market share is more than 20 percent. Okinawa sold a total of 29,945 units last year. Currently, Okinawa has 6 models in the Indian market. These include electric scooters like i-Praise, Praise, Ridge Plus, R30, Lite and Dual. The price of the scooter ranges from ₹ 59,000 to ₹ 1.09 lakh.

Bengaluru-based EV startup Ather Energy has now entered the race of leading two wheeler manufacturers in India. Ather sold 15,921 units of its electric scooters last year and garnered over 11 per cent market share. Ather Energy currently offers only two models in India. These include the 450 and 450X models and are priced between ₹ 1.40 lakh.
Ampere Vehicles is the fourth largest electric two-wheeler maker company in India. In 2021, the company has sold 12,470 electric scooters and has a market share of more than 8 percent. Ampere currently sells five models to the Indian customers. These include Reo, Reo Elite, Magnus EX, Magnus Pro and Zeal.

Pure EV is at number five and last in this list. Last year, the company sold 11,039 units of electric scooters and garnered over 7 percent market share. The company currently sells four models in India, which include EPluto 7G, Etrance Neo, Etrance and Etron Plus.
