Tata’s Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery, it generates 129 hp of power and 245 Nm of peak torque. The company claims that it gives 312 km range on single charging. Its price is Rs 14.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

The second number in this list is MG ZS EV. The company has managed to sell 2,798 units of this electric car last year. MG’s ZS EV gets a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack. In this, a range of 419 km is available in single charging. Its electric motor produces 143 hp power and 353 Nm peak torque. The MG ZS EV is currently priced at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently its updated version has been launched.

Tata Tigor EV
Tata Motors managed to sell 2,611 units of the Tigor EV in 2021. Its new variant was launched in August last year. It is powered by a 26kWh lithium-ion battery and has a claimed driving range of 306 km per charge. Its electric motor generates 75 hp and 170 Nm of torque. The current price of Tata Tigor EV is Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom.

Hyundai Kona Electric
The Hyundai Kona Electric was the first long-range mass-market EV in India. The South Korean carmaker managed to sell 121 units of Kona Electric in India in 2021. The electric SUV is powered by a 39.2kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 452 km per charge. Its electric motor generates 136 hp power and 395 Nm torque. The current ex-showroom price of the Hyundai Kona Electric in India is Rs 23.79 lakh.
