INDIA’S FASTEST BIKE: Harley-Davidson’s Sportster S has become India’s first motorcycle to become the fastest bike. The company said that the Sportster S has covered a distance of 3141 km in the 24-hour endurance test.
The test was conducted on a world-class test track at Hero’s Global Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT). It had a team of five riders, which included national racers Anushriya Gulati and Vijay Singh. Vlogger Shubhbrata Marmar was joined by Malo Le Maison and Vijay Thomas from Hero MotoCorp. CIT is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The test at CIT was conducted under the supervision of David López Cordoba, Head of Chassis Functional Development and National Racing Program, and Alex Busquets, Head of Wheeler Validation, two key members of Hero’s team. This test was to be completed in 24 hours. Both David and Alex have years of experience conducting endurance tests around the world.

This test started on 5th February 2022 at 3 pm. During this the team went through 31 pit stops which included fuel refill, rider change and new tire change after every 1000 kms. Each rider completed an average of 6 runs of 100 km on each run, which was almost a full tank of fuel. To achieve this feat, the team averaged 130.9 km/h in 24 hours. The 1.74 km long oval high-speed track was specially chosen to test the limits of both human and motorcycle endurance.
