new Delhi. Sun TV Network has set the record date for its Interim Dividend as March 21, and its payment will start from March 29. Sun TV Network on Monday said its board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share for the financial year 2021-22.
“It is informed that the Board of Directors, in its meeting held today, has announced an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share for the financial year 2021-22,” Sun TV said in a filing.

The company has set a record date of March 21 for interim dividend and its payment will start from March 29. On Monday, Sun TV shares closed marginally lower at Rs 437.10 on NSE. On a year-on-year basis, since 2021 till now, the stock has declined 13 percent on a year-on-year basis.
33 TV channels owned
Sun TV Network, part of the Sun Group, one of Asia’s largest TV networks, is a media company headquartered in Chennai. It owns television channels, radio stations in many languages. Sun Group currently owns and operates 33 TV channels in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali languages.

471 crore profit in December quarter
Sun TV has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 471 crore for the quarter ended December, 2021 as compared to Rs 445 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations grew 7 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,060 crore.
