Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has said that his government will soon launch a pension scheme for working journalists.
Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga further said that his government is taking several steps to promote and help writers in the state.

Prioritizing the welfare of journalists
Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga at an event organized on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Mizoram Journalists Association (MJA) said, “Our government gives priority to the welfare of journalists and will soon launch a pension scheme to benefit them. It is under process now.” This information has been shared by PTI.
If other news is to be believed, the MNF government in Mizoram will implement the state’s flagship programme, the Socio-Economic Development Policy (SEDP), from the new financial year 2022-23.

SEDP is the flagship program of the Mizo National Front (MNF) government aimed at accelerating progress in key areas through exploration and judicious use of resources, and transforming Mizoram into a welfare state on the path of sustainable development.
