According to a recall document issued by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the side-stands for the Triumph Trident were manufactured using incorrect raw material specifications. Due to which this side-stand can bend over time. And this can cause excessive bending and falling of the motorcycle.

The faulty parts have been supplied by Fujin Corporation Pvt Ltd based at Faridabad, Haryana. While the recall document pertains to 314 units only in the US, the units sold in India have also been affected by the company’s recall. Triumph dealership will replace the defective component without charging any money. Customers can contact their nearest official Triumph dealership for more details.

Price and Features
In India, the company has also announced a price hike on the motorcycle. Trident was originally launched in the country at an ex-showroom price of Rs 6.95 lakh. Now its ex-showroom price is Rs 7.45 lakh.

Even after being an entry-level Triumph, the Trident offers a host of features like full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-ready instrument cluster and Traction Control System (TCS). It is offered in a single variant and in four color options including Matte Jet Black and Matte Silver Ice, Crystal White, Silver Ice and Diablo Red and Sapphire Black.
