At present, they have to stop to see the fitness certificate of the vehicles. The driver of the vehicle shows the fitness certificate kept inside the vehicle. It takes time, during which many vehicles leave, which do not have a fitness certificate. Keeping this in mind, the Ministry is preparing to make such a rule, so that the concerned agency will be able to know from a distance that how long the fitness certificate of the vehicle is valid. With this, there will be no need to stop all vehicles.

According to the notification issued by the ministry, the driver of the vehicle will have to write the date of the fitness certificate of the front window (wind screen), how long it will be valid. Along with this, the number of the vehicle will also have to be given. A format has been issued for this. Accordingly, the validity of the certificate of fitness (in the format of date-month-year) and the registration mark of the motor vehicle shall be displayed on the vehicles in the manner prescribed in the draft rules.

As per the notification issued by the Ministry, in case of Heavy Goods/Passenger Vehicles, Medium Goods/Passenger Vehicles and Light Motor Vehicles it will be displayed on the upper edge of the left side of the wind screen. At the same time, in case of auto-rickshaw, e-rickshaw, e-kart and quadric cycle, it will be displayed on the upper edge of the left side of the wind screen. Apart from this, in the case of a motorcycle, it will be displayed on a clearly visible part of the vehicle. It will be displayed in yellow on a blue background in Type Arial Bold Script.
